The return of the ring!
Some older Campagnolo cranksets were designed for 144 BCD chainrings, which ordinarily don't come smaller than 42 teeth. That could be fine if you're a strong rider or live in the Land of Perpetual Tailwinds, but many of us need a lower low.
TA used to make a 144 triplizer, but dropped it from its catalog several years ago. Our 42-tooth version will fit Campagnolo Record/Nuovo Record cranks and their clones, and--like our 122 BCD triplizers--will accept any 74 BCD inner ring.
The versatile 42-tooth configuration is perfect for the never-out-of-fashion 52-42-30 triple. Half-step enthusiasts will also find that it works nicely with a 46-tooth big ring and a 14-17-21-26-32 five-speed freewheel. Add a 28-tooth granny, and you have a fine setup for loaded touring in the mountains.
No ramps or pins. For 5-, 6-, 7-, and 8-speed chain only.

Triplizer Bolt Kit
You'll also need the right combination of mounting bolts and spacers to fasten your small chainring to the triplizer. If your parts bin already contains the bolt halves of five standard chainring bolts, the nut halves of five single-ring bolts, and five 3.8 mm spacers, you're all set. If it doesn't, you can piece together what you need from your local bike shop or order the individual parts online. Or you can save a few bucks by ordering a mounting kit from us.
