Low Gears for Vintage Bikes
Plenty of modern cyclists still love the classic road bikes of the 60s, 70s and 80s for their ride quality and timeless good looks. But most high-quality bicycles of that era were designed as full-on racing machines, so it's not always easy to gear them down to ratios suitable for touring or general road riding in hilly or mountainous terrain.
We can help! Install one of our custom triplizers or small conventional chainrings in place of your original second ring, and you can get the gearing you want without spending big bucks to install an inappropriate modern triple crankset in place of an original period-correct double.
All Red Clover Components chainrings are precision CNC machined from durable 7075 aluminum here in Vermont. They're non-anodized and have a bright polished finish.
